About Me

Myself, Soumyaroop Bhattacharya, also known as Deep Bhattacharya, is a Graduate Student at the School of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Born on January 9^th, 1978 to Drs. Mala & Sujit K. Bhattacharya, at the Holy city of Varanasi (also known as Benaras or Kashi), I started my schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, BHU, Varanasi and followed it up with an undergrad degree at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, INDIA.

In September 2000, I joined the University of Massachusetts at Lowell as a Master’s candidate and successfully completed it in 2002. After that I moved to Pittsburgh to join the University of Pittsburgh for a graduate degree in Biomedical Informatics.

Currently I am working as Information Systems Programmer/Analyst in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine of Brigham & Women's Hospital in Harvard Medical School.
